Acreline is a WordPress real estate theme for agents, brokers and small brokerages. I built it as sample work, to show what a modern real estate website can do for a business: help buyers find the right home, book a showing and get in touch without any friction. It is not a client site, and it is not for sale. If you want it for your own site, or want me to set it up for you, get in touch.

I have been doing web work for about 17 years. I am a self-taught WordPress developer in Gettysburg, PA, and I build custom themes and plugins for small businesses and agencies.

You can try the live demo at acreline.matthummel.com. Every listing, neighborhood, name and number in it is fictional.

What Acreline is

Acreline is a WordPress real estate theme that works like a good open house. A visitor arrives, sees homes that fit what they want, learns who you are, and books a time to walk through a property. Each part of the site leads to the next step.

Why I built it

Many agent websites look the same. A buyer lands on a wall of listings, scrolls for a minute and leaves. The agent never finds out they were there.

I wanted a site that does more of the early work for you. It helps visitors narrow down their search, answers their first questions and makes it easy to request a showing. That way, the people who call you are already interested.

Who this WordPress real estate theme is for

  • Solo agents who want a professional site that is easy to keep current.
  • Small teams and brokerages that need one site for buyers, sellers and commercial inquiries.
  • Agents who sell land, farms and historic homes, where acreage and location matter as much as bedrooms.
  • Web designers and agencies who want a solid starting point for a real estate client.

Key features and how they help you grow

Buyers find the right home faster

The home page has a search bar right at the top. Visitors pick a property type, a price range, an acreage range and an area, then see only the homes that match.

What this means for you: visitors who see a good match stay longer, and the ones who contact you know what they are looking for.

Showing requests come in ready to act on

Every listing has a Book a showing button. The form lets a visitor choose the home, a date and a time, and whether they want to visit in person or take a virtual tour. It also asks a few questions that save you phone calls:

  • Are they pre-approved, paying cash, browsing or renting?
  • How many people are coming?
  • Do they prefer a call, a text or an email?
  • How did they hear about the home: a yard sign, a referral, social media or an open house?

Each request is saved in your WordPress dashboard as a booking that you can review. The last question shows you which of your marketing is working.

What this means for you: you spend less time on back-and-forth and more time at showings with buyers who are ready.

Neighborhood pages that match how people shop

Most buyers choose a neighborhood before they choose a house. Acreline gives each area its own page with a short description, such as who it suits and what is nearby, plus a count of active listings. The demo has three: North Ridge, Mill Creek and Oak Hollow.

Here is how the neighborhood section looks in the demo.

Each area gets a short description and a count of active listings.

What this means for you: you show buyers you know the area, and local searches have more pages that can lead to your site.

Your knowledge on display

The theme has a buyer guide, a blog and a Questions buyers ask first section. These answer the things people wonder about before they call: what to compare first on a listing, how a condo differs from a house, and whether they need a showing.

What this means for you: buyers learn to trust you before they ever meet you, and you answer the same questions once instead of a hundred times.

Reasons for people to come back

Most visitors are not ready on their first visit. Acreline includes three tools that bring them back:

  • Home value range. A seller enters an address and gets a starting estimate. It is a conversation starter, not an appraisal.
  • Listing alerts. A buyer picks a type of home and a maximum price and asks to hear about new matches.
  • Weekly market note. A short list of new addresses by area.

In the demo these show how each tool looks and feels, and no emails are sent. On a real site, I connect them to your email service so the names and addresses land in your hands.

What this means for you: a visitor who is not ready today still leaves you a way to reach them next month.

Proof that people trust you

Acreline has room for agent profiles, client testimonials, a snapshot of the local market (median price, days on market, months of inventory) and the logos of your lenders, title company and inspectors. The demo uses placeholder names and quotes so you can see the layout.

What this means for you: a nervous buyer or seller sees real people and local partners before they pick up the phone.

Clear ways to work with you

A section on the home page lays out how you work with buyers, sellers and people relocating. Each has a short list of what is included and a button for the next step. Pricing here is a sample, so you replace it with your own.

What this means for you: people know what to expect and what to ask for, so the first call goes further.

Built for phones

A lot of home shopping happens on a phone, often from the couch or from the street in front of a house. The Call and Book a showing buttons stay within easy reach, and the search bar and listing cards fit a small screen.

Acreline at phone width: the headline, the search form and a sample listing.

What this means for you: a buyer on a phone can call you or request a showing in a few taps.

Easy to update and made to look like you

Acreline is built for the regular WordPress editor. You can change your photos, hours, phone number and wording yourself. Colors are set in one place, so the site matches your brand, and a bar of settings lets you turn demo-only features off before launch. The footer has room for your license numbers and an Equal Housing statement.

What this means for you: your site stays current without a developer, and a new listing takes minutes to add.

What Acreline does not do

Acreline is not a live MLS feed. Live MLS or IDX search usually comes from a separate service, and the setup depends on your local board. If you need it, ask me before we start and I will tell you what to expect.

Questions people ask

Can I buy Acreline?

Not yet. It is not for sale, but you can reach out about using it on your own site.

Will I need a developer to run it?

For everyday changes like listings, photos and text, no. I handle the setup, and you handle the updates.

Can you change it to fit my business?

Yes. I can change the colors, wording, sections and forms to match how you work, and connect the forms to your email.

Is Acreline a good WordPress real estate theme for a small brokerage?

Yes. A small brokerage needs one site that serves buyers, sellers and agents, without a large budget or a long setup. Acreline puts search, showing requests, neighborhood pages and lead tools in one place, so every agent on your team has a clear way to bring in new clients and keep in touch with the ones who are not ready yet.

If you want Acreline for your own real estate site, or something close to it, send me a message and tell me about your business.

Acreline is one of a few themes I have built. Cobble & Candle uses the same approach for restaurants, taverns and inns, and you can see more of my work on the projects page.

If you are an agency that needs help with a custom WordPress theme or plugin, you can hire me for overflow work.
