When your team is at capacity, I can step in as a white-label WordPress developer for custom themes, blocks, plugin work, and behind-the-scenes fixes. You keep the client, the brand voice, and the project process. I work with your team in the background until the work ships.

What I take on

  • Custom themes and templates: Sage/Blade or classic PHP themes your client can edit in wp-admin, with no locked page builder.
  • Custom blocks and editor setup: blocks, patterns, and editor limits so content teams can’t break the layout.
  • Plugin integration and small custom plugins: when WordPress needs a part it doesn’t ship with.
  • Content models: custom post types, fields, and taxonomies planned before build.
  • Front-end fixes and launch-week ticket surges: accessibility, performance, and the bugs QA found.

How it works

  1. Write. Send the rough shape of the work, the deadline, and how your team likes to collaborate (Slack, Teamwork, Jira, email). No spec needed.
  2. Scope. I send a written scope: what’s in, what’s out, and what “done” means. Numbers go in writing before any work starts.
  3. Build in stages. Work happens on your staging site or repo, with previews you can review and share with your client under your own brand.
  4. Editable handoff. Clean code, notes your team can follow, and editor guidance if it’s in scope, so you’re not calling me for every small change.

Turnaround and communication

  • I reply within one business day (ET).
  • Async-friendly. I’m based in Gettysburg, PA and work remotely.
  • Timelines depend on scope. Every quote includes a schedule, agreed in writing before work starts.
  • Availability: ask about current capacity when you write.

White-label by default, NDA when you need it

Your agency stays the face of the work. I talk to your team, not the end client, unless you ask otherwise. I sign NDAs when required. Client and agency work stays private unless you give permission to show it.

Pricing

Pricing is quoted per project, in writing, before any work starts. Ask for a range: send the rough shape of the work and I’ll tell you what it’s likely to cost.

The quality bar

About 17 years of in-house web work, most of it in WordPress (the story). My plugin TOCguide passed WordPress.org review (how I got it there). Sample themes with live demos: Acreline and WalkRidge. I build accessibility in from the start, because an overlay plugin won’t do it. I use AI tools for boilerplate, and every line is reviewed and tested before it reaches your repo (my workflow).

FAQ

Will you talk to our client directly?

Only if you ask. By default I support you quietly, white-label, and your agency owns the relationship.

Do you sign NDAs?

Yes, when required.

What kinds of work fit best?

Custom theme and template work, custom blocks, plugin integration, content models, front-end fixes, and launch-week ticket surges.

Can you work in our repo and our tools?

Yes. I work in Git with branches and pull requests, and I can join your project tools. Tell me how your team runs projects and I’ll fit in.

Who owns the code?

You and your client do, once the work is paid. There are no locked page builders and no license traps.

How does pricing work?

Quoted per project. Ask for a range: share the rough shape of the work and the timeline, and we put numbers in writing with the scope before anything starts.

Next step

If your team is stretched and you need WordPress help that protects the client relationship, send me a short note: the rough shape of the work, the timeline pressure, and how you like to collaborate. I’ll reply within one business day (ET).

Prefer to talk first? Get in touch and we’ll set up a short intro call.
